My vision to create a community for people who live in Loughborough with Endometriosis and Fibroids that is accessible, inclusive, and empowering for all to practice together and build as a community, so that everybody feels empowered.
Through mindful and intentional movement, breath, and stillness, we foster physical and mental wellbeing, but also a sense of belonging and shared humanity.
Do you suffer from Endometriosis or Fibroids
Yoga can help ease some of the pain, tension and fatigue that is caused through constant years of pelvic pain, imbalances I know very well how exhausting it can be.
My journey into Yoga started some 25 years ago while I was suffering from Endometriosis, a life long condition that affects your reproductive system, it can be debilitating and often takes away a women's quality of life. The diagnosis for this condition, unfortunately can take as long as 12 years. I have had 3 major surgeries, 2 laparoscopy surgeries and a further laparotomy. I was lucky to be referred to a specialist clinic in London UCH where I was under the care of a amazing surgeon who gave me back my quality of life after more than 15 years of pain.
I am also someone who lives with Fibroids, Yoga can hep support Peri-Menopause and the transitioning to menopause through gentle restorative and self compassion. Health and daily pressures can affect us profoundly especially on the nervous system, through the study of yoga therapy and Trauma informed practices we can bring back some quality of life.
My own personal practice has evolved over the years, from Vinyasa to Jivamukti styles, I now prefer a more gentler style of flow and moving intentionally with breath gearing towards a more restorative style.
My name is Gail. I am qualified yoga teacher since 2021. Helping people to life a better profound lifestyle using the tools of yoga, my offerings are a more gentle restorative style of yoga to help you find relaxation and stillness, through gentle movement, that help reduce the areas that cause inflammation.
Stress also plays a huge part in how out bodies respond, when our bodies are put through huge amounts of stress levels the inflammation can be far worse and its finding ways to counter act that so that we teach our nervous system that it is safe.
The tools of yoga helped me to have a better quality of life the teachings are profound and life changing and help us along the way to navigate life in an easier way. My offerings are to allow you to feel empowered in an inclusive space. The classes I teach are inclusive and adaptable to each student and free of judgement. I am a big fan of props for support, feeling safe and supported is so important in our own bodies.
Yoga can help you to move a bit better through gentle movement, breathwork, bringing the nervous system into balance, reducing pelvic, lower back pain and hip pain through gentle movement of the body. Through gentle movements and breath work the body begins to relax and find ease. We can train our minds to relax and bodies to feel safe again.
My Yoga Classes
I teach a mixture of in-person and online classes, these classes are gentle and nurturing, to meet you whenever you want to take your practice.
All new students are required to fill out a health form before starting yoga. This can be accessed via my classes page on my website.
